Reinforcer Snapshot Changes
First major update to share with everyone, as discussed in our last community call we initiated the META distribution process to an elite class of Operator called the Rovi Oracle. If you met the qualifications for this (qualifications discussed in this article) you are to expect to receive allocation of every new Rovi META to be released, starting with Reinforcers.
Last week the Reinforcer airdrop snapshot was taken but due to community feedback we’ve identified a bug in our snapshot system. For those who have been asking if airdrop has happened yet, the answer to that is no. We’ve been working on a fix to the snapshot system and are going to re-snap tonight March 10th, 12am UTC.
Hologram Snapshot Rescheduled
Remember, there are still 6 remaining NFT METAs that are going to be allocated to Oracles after the Reinforcer drop. Next in line is the Rovi Hologram META which will enable Rovi Operators to bring Rovies in-world in Decentraland. Any land location that has a hologram installed will grant access to Rovi deployment, allowing your Rovi to finally exist in the metaverse!
Hologram META distribution snapshot to Rovi Oracles was scheduled to occur today, March 9th 2022. We will have to void this snapshot and reschedule it for next week March 17 12am UTC.
Distributed Play to Earn Ecosystem Outline
If you’ve attended the community calls regularly over the past few months you probably heard the team speak about the release of a Rovi white paper explaining in detail the overall ecosystem design and vision. We’re very close to that release and want to share with the community an overview of how the GEARZ ($GRZ) token economy will sustain in a distributed play-to-earn game ecosystem such as the one Rovies will pioneer.
Diagram below outlines this flow. If this diagram scares you and seems hard to understand, no worries! We will be publishing a new article very soon going into detail how we’re thinking about this design and what to expect as a player / META host participant in the ecosystem. We’ll also speak in depth about this in tomorrows community discord call.
Community Call 🔥
We’re very proud of the Rovi community we are building together. Every week our calls are getting more and more productive, feedback and engagement is increasing which is exactly what we as a team want to see. Many projects like to spout the ideals of community being their main tenant of focus, but in our case the communities involvement could not be more critical to the success of the product we are creating.
This weeks call will be very important as we will discuss the ins and outs of the Rovi Distributed Play to Earn Ecosystem outlined above and be asking for feedback from the community. We are excited to hear the communities input. Any questions you have about the ecosystem design are welcomed. Does the ecosystem flow make sense? Are incentives clearly defined?
